The 2025 Dodge Durango comes in 10 trim levels that offer a range of innovative technology upgrades and safety enhancements in addition to responsive performance. Read on to learn about the biggest features of the 2025 Dodge Durango.

1. Uconnect Entertainment System

Uconnect uses Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to ensure drivers can seamlessly access their favorite apps and media on their mobile devices. With the 10.1-inch high-definition touchscreen, it’s easy to navigate through media, change vehicle settings such as climate controls, and view safety information.

2. Engine Options

The standard engine for the new Durango is a 3.6L Pentastar V6 motor with an output of 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The naturally aspirated 5.7L HEMI V8 engine produces 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque, while the turbocharged HEMI engine delivers a maximum of 710 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque.

3. Towing Capacity

Towing capacities on the new Durango increase along with the power output of its three engines. Durangos with the 3.6L Pentastar engine can tow a maximum of 6,200 lbs. For Durangos equipped with the normal and turbocharged HEMI engines, their maximum towing capacities are 7,400 lbs and 8,700 lbs, respectively.

4. Suspension and Handling

Two-wheel drive is standard on the base model Durango, but drivers who want the ultimate in control and handling can upgrade to all-wheel drive. Another option that will improve the Durango’s handling is upgrading to the Bilstein Active-Damping High-Performance Suspension. The Bilstein system ensures a smooth ride quality across uneven terrain by adjusting the vertical position of wheels in addition to adjusting the axles.

5. Robust Safety Features

The new Durango comes equipped with several valuable safety features. Electronic Stability Control automatically applies additional torque at the wheels if the Durango detects itself losing traction, while Advanced Brake Assist with Ready Alert Braking provides audio alerts when sensors detect you’re about to rear-end another vehicle. If you continue approaching too quickly, the Advanced Brake Assist system will automatically apply the brakes, reducing the severity of impact and ideally preventing a collision altogether.

Thanks to the Durango’s even weight distribution and the carefully engineered gearing of its eight-speed automatic transmission, all drivers enjoy great handling, even without the optional upgrades.
